Salmon Run

Sockeye salmon at the Adams River after a 485 km journey from the Pacific Ocean. Estimated 30 million salomon in the 2010 run - largest run in 100 years. Approximately 8 million sockeye are expected to these spawning grounds at the Adams. The salmon spawn then die. They are born an orphan and die childless.
