BERLIN FOUR SEASONS – LENTICULAR PHOTOGRAPHS

Berlin Four Seasons is a series of conceptual works that deal with ideas of time through a year-long photography process. They are lenticular photographs that animate as the viewer moves. Each work features a statue located in a public park within the city of Berlin. The background cycles though the four seasons while the statues remain steadfast.

The images are completely devoid of people reminding us that time goes on (or the seasons change) whether or not we are there to witness it.

The seasons are a manifestation of the earth’s orbit around the sun as seen from ground level. It is one of humanity’s most ancient and primal measures of time. This art project reflects on the significance of time within the context of our daily lives and the position of human experience within the cosmos.
