Dream (2006-2008)

I have been thinking about some of the situations that haunt me from my adolescence, both real and imagined.

My most vivid memories are of events that occurred outside, sometimes in urban settings but more often in a natural environment. These paintings reflect on epiphanies as well as moments of exhilaration as I tested the boundaries of my place in the world.

These paintings are not about extraordinary events. They are about the reconciling the youthful feeling of invincibility against the fragility of life.
